The PTO wants to encourage reading, literacy and any aspiring authors or illustrators at Roosevelt, so we provide Mrs. Taryn Handlon in the LRC with a budget to research and organize a variety of author visits each year! Many thanks to all her efforts to make these visits happen.
This Spring, Roosevelt PTO sponsored a visit from Ali Benjamin, bestselling author and National Book Award Finalist, for the 4th and 5th graders. Kindergarten and 1st grade students had the pleasure of a visit from Betty Schnobel, author of Meet Mr. Greenbot.
